Dog Boarding

We accommodate all breeds and sizes of dog. Each dog is appointed his or her own spacious private kennel with a raised platform bed. We ask that you bring your dog’s favourite dog bed or blanket for added comfort and familiarity, plus their favourite toy. Each kennel has an open doggy door that leads to their own private outdoor run, covered to protect your pet from inclement weather.

Current vaccinations are a must and records are required for the safety of all pets. Dogs require annual vaccinations for Parvo, Distemper and Bordatella. We will ask for copies of these records.

Doggy Daycare

Are you leaving for the day? Or does your dog need some extra socialization or exercise? We offer a doggy day care Monday to Saturday at our kennel (space permitting). An active day at our kennel will afford your dog a day of exercise and a chance to hang out with other dogs. This is especially advantageous for puppies and young dogs who need to expend their energy! Save your couch and shoes from being chewed and bring you puppy to us for the day!

Cat Boarding

We love cats too! Our cat room is currently a work in progress – but we do offer a nice, large space with lots of climbing apparatuses and toys for your feline friend. Stay tuned for updates as our new cattery is constructed.

Current vaccinations are a must and records are required for the safety of all pets. Cats require annual FVCP and Feline Leukemia. We will ask for copies of these records.

Included Services

Don't forget to bring your pet's food! Please bring a bit extra in case you trip is delayed by a day or two.

At River’s Edge Kennel wants your pet to be healthy - we will administer up to TWO medications free of charge (each day).

We have a large, outdoor run for the dogs. If they are well socialized, they will be provided an opportunity to run and play 3 – 5 times a day, depending on the weather.

We love handing out treats and we can guarantee your pet will be spoiled! Of course, we will check with you first to make sure there are no dietary restrictions or reasons why your pet should not get a special treat each day
