driveway while attempting to pick up a C-can container his truck was not able to lift. He was contracted by a local storage company, I did not hire him personally. His flat bed truck's breaks "let go" (his words) and the truck and rolled away dragging the rear of the container down my driveway several yards. Although we were home, he drove away hastily without an explanation. He did however report this incident to the storage company. When confronted about the damages, which he readily admitted fault for, he offered to spray paint the damage black. When I said this would not suffice, repairs need to be made, he became belligerent and suggested I either "sue him, or f**k off!". " He admitted his truck was not capable of this maneuver but he attempted it anyway. It's just a driveway", he says. Well it's my driveway, and Dave left his mark on it not two days after I took possession. I have recently learned Dave has a very poor reputation locally and his trucks often fail inspection. Not a single person I spoke with about his conduct had anything positive to say. He's just that guy. I would encourage anyone to find towing help elsewhere as working with Dave is not worth risking your property or safety. If he has damaged your property in anyway you can report it to ICBC.

Is there any place in town that buys cars for scrap metal and would come pick them up with a tow truck?

Where is the best place to get ride of a used truck that's to the point of no repair? Some place that will give us some $ for it yet.
