Melissa F.: Has anyone used a midwife locally? I was curious about costs involved. Any feedback is greatly appreciated :)
Ramona A.: https://www.facebook.com/cheam.midwifery1
Amber P.: There are two main groups in Chilliwack. Cheam Midwifery and Chilliwack Midwifery. Simply Google them, fill out an intake form, and they'll let you know if they have an opening around your due date. Midwives are covered under BC Health, but they are your primary care provider during your pregnancy; you can't use both your doctor and a midwife. I've heard excellent things about the local midwives.
Karissa S.: I went to cheam midwifery for my first sons birth and now my second sons birth. I will never go anywhere else for the birth of any of my children. They are amazing. Haley at chilliwack midwifery delivered my son 2 years ago. They're all amazing!
Brittany L.: I went to cheam midwifery when it was joy Hailey and Cheryl but now I believe they are split up between the two midwiferys (cheam and chilliwack) regardless they were all amazing to me and even now a year after my daughter has been born we still make visits to see them, there an amazing.group of ladies and I don't think you would regret your decision if you went to them!

Rish604: Recommendations for an OBGYN? Hey fellow redditors, my wife is pregnant!! We're pretty excited as we've been trying for a bit here, but now that it is happening, we have a need to find a good OB GYN. We both don't really have a regular doctor, we've always just gone to walk-in clinics for years. So I was hoping some kind souls on reddit could recommend a doctor for us. We're in the fleetwood area of surrey if that matters, but an OB GYN anywhere in the lower mainland would be ok! Many thanks in advance! Exciting times ahead!
Jampots: http://sagemidwiferybc.ca/ i know doodlysquat about babies and shit but maybe start there. (midwives in surrey/white rock) they might help you both get started. congratulations!!
