Company Description

A skills training program for women who have experienced domestic violence or abuse. The 14 week program includes training through UFV and prepares women for the work place or to continue their education. The safe, supportive environment offers workshops on topics including boundary-setting, building healthy relationships, problem-solving, effective communication, self-esteem, addiction awareness, understanding anger and conflict, and positive attitudes and behaviours. Provides supports such as coaching, career exploration, job search, child care top-up, transportation and nutritional supports, and access to free counselling. Serves Abbotsford / Mission and Chilliwack. Funding provided by the Government of Canada through the Canada-British Columbia Workforce Development Agreement.
